African Ship Owners Association Visits MOWCA Headquarters in Abidjan

Barrister Funmi Folorunso, Secretary General of the African Ship Owners Association yesterday visited the headquarters of Maritime Organisation of West and Central Africa (MOWCA) in Abidjan.

The delegation was received by His Excellency, Dr Paul Adalikwu, Secretary General of MOWCA and top officials of the regional maritime body.

Both organisation held bilateral talks aimed at fostering business interests of ship owners in Africa and deepen their participation in the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA)

The visit is the first by the ship owners organisation to MOWCA since Dr Adalikwu assumed office in November 2021

Adalikwu reiterated MOWCA’s commitment to partnering with various stakeholders and organisations within and outside the African continent.
